Maple Pulled Pork

A delicious alternative to traditional pulled pork. Another easy freezer to crock pot meal prep dinner or lunch!

 2 lbs pork shoulder (boneless)
 1 sm onion, sliced
  cup maple syrup
  cup apple vinegar
 1 tsp salt
 2 tsp chili powder

1

Cut shoulder in half (lengthwise). Mix syrup and vinegar together. Put dry ingredients into the crock pot and then pour liquid over pork. Cook on low for 8 hours. Shred. Add cooking liquid to taste and serve.

2

To prep ahead: Put all dry ingredients in bag and freeze. Thaw overnight and add to crockpot. Mix together syrup and vinegar and pour over pork. Follow cooking instructions above.

Alternate: You can freeze with the liquid if you want, I always have those ingredients in the house so I chose to leave them out so I could more easily vacuum seal.
