Silk Orchids

I love plants. My dream has always been to have a beautiful garden outside my house. The inside would be filled with greenery and potted plants that we can enjoy year round. One of my favorite plants is the orchid. Problem is, for some reason, this is the one plant that I can’t seem to keep alive. They are so beautiful and so delicate. I’ve tried several times and inevitably, after a couple of months, they always die.

Therefore when Commercial Silk International contacted me, I was immediately attracted to their orchids. This company is dedicated to producing realistic, authentic looking silk plants. Their attention to detail is hard to ignore. From the colors of the orchids to the inclusion of buds to the moss in the basket that contains it all. They are brightly colored and beautiful. It’s hard to tell that they aren’t real without looking at it closely!

The center of each orchid has subtle color touches that resemble the real plant very well. The little bits of red and green accentuate the beauty of each petal beautifully and add to the authenticity of the plant. You can see the attention to detail in each aspect of the plant and the more I examined it, the more I noticed. There are subtle marking on the leaves and each bud is structured slightly differently to add to the realistic feel.

 

When I received my product, it was packaged in a way that would prevent any damage. The delicate branches were tied with string to hold them in place and secured to the sides of the box. The basket that holds the plant was surrounded in styrofoam to keep it from moving around in the box. This ensured that it arrived at my house in the same condition that it was shipped out in. There was no damage at all, which I found very shocking. It was also very easy to remove by simply cutting the strings and carefully pulling it out.

The only negatives I found were very easily fixed. Some of the styrofoam stuck to the moss on the basket, but was easily brushed off. I also noticed a couple small places where there appeared to be the remnants  of hot glue strings. Again, this was easily removed and it’s removal did not affect the product at all.

Overall, I was very pleased with this silk plant. It looks great and I’m very happy to have a little green in my house. With everything else that I do, taking care of plants has not been a priority. Now, I not only have a beautiful plant, I have an orchid! The one plant I could never keep alive. I will be keeping this plant on display in my house for years to come!
