Teething Biscuits : A Quick and Easy Recipe
Teething biscuits are great for little ones to help with discomfort. They also take a little longer to eat, which can be helpful for mom! When I looked in the stores for a teething biscuit, they all had a lot of sugar and other junk in them. That is why I decided to make my own.

Admittedly, I don’t always have the best timing. I thought of packing this snack the day before a flight which is why I needed a quick recipe that didn’t have many ingredients. Snacks are crucial when flying with a baby so I knew I needed something that would take him a while to eat, which makes teething biscuits great. These were so quick and easy to make that it wasn’t a big deal to make them last minute.
Ingredients for Teething Biscuits
There are also only 3 ingredients that are absolutely necessary to make these teething biscuits: oats, banana, and coconut oil. You need to powder the oats in a blender first to powder them. Then, you mush in the banana and mix in the oil until you have a simple dough. Taking small spoonfuls of dough, pack it together and form a biscuit shape with rounded edges. Bake them at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes (flipping halfway) and you have a healthy snack.
Tip
Mixing the ingredients in a blender helps chop up the oats. You can use a food processor but the consistency will be different if the oats aren’t the consistency of flour.
Optional Additional Ingredients for Teething Biscuits
For Flavor
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp cinnamon
small amounts of other spices if desired
For Added Nutrition
I love adding little bursts of nutrition in recipes by adding chia seed and flax seed. For this recipe, I added about 1/8 cup of each.
These are really healthy and are a great snack for a baby. The best part is that because they are homemade, you are in complete control of the ingredients and don’t have to worry about what your little one is eating.
