Sunshine Award
Iva of Iva Says honored me with my second blogging award after only a month of blogging! I feel incredibly blessed to be named as one of her nominees in her award post. Thank you so much and I definitely recommend everyone to check out her blog, especially if you are planning to travel. She writes great reviews and has been all over the world!The Sunshine Blogger Award is given by bloggers to bloggers to recognize creativity and inspiration. It’s for blogs that bring some sunshine into your life! This award is a great way to open yourself up to your readers and to the blogger community as you answer 11 questions from the blogger that nominated you. Then you nominate up to 11 other bloggers and write your own unique 11 questions for them to answer. Why 11? Who knows! That’s just the rules.
Here I’ve copied and pasted the rules for the Sunshine Blogger Award from Iva says, then look below that for my answers to her creative questions!

My Answers:
1. What’s your zodiac sign? Taurus, although you would never guess from my level of stubbornness! Tehe
2. Do you prefer board games or video games? That’s a tricky question. I prefer board games when playing with family or larger groups, but video games are fun by myself or with my husband.
3. What activity takes the most of your time? I feel like most of my time is spent picking up after others. It makes sense as I’m both mom and nanny. So phrases like “don’t eat that” and “why is that on your head” are very take up a lot of my time too. Since starting my blog every moment that I am not cleaning, cooking, playing, or creating is spent writing posts and tinkering with the website.
4. Did your friends and family give you their support when you started your blog? For the most part everyone has been very supportive. Many of them just kind of shrug it off and say “good luck”. My mother is the most supportive, she is always commenting on my posts, sharing, and inviting others to follow me. It’s really nice having that. My husband is very supportive as well. He has been encouraging me and providing motivation when I need it. After ten years together he is still my rock! I never had a large group of friends. The few that I have are very close and we are all very supportive of each other. They know that if I consider you a friend, then you are also family. I am always bouncing ideas off them!
5. What do you plan to spend the money you’re making from your blog on? My hopes is that I will earn enough money to stay home with my son and live off the income. I really don’t want to go out an buy anything big, I just want to live a comfortable life with my family. If I get lucky and start making a larger income than needed to replace my current income I would love for my husband to not need to work overtime. Beyond that it’s all gravy and would likely go to helping friends, family, and the less fortunate.
6. If you go back in time, would you still start a blog knowing all the positive and negative aspects of blogging? I only started a few months ago so yes.
7. Would you rather party on Ibiza or climb Mount Everest? I’d rather party on Ibiza, although that’s mainly just because I’m not a big fan of the cold. Honestly, I’m more into the quite that I would find on Everest. I don’t know if it was becoming a mom or simply getting older, but I’m not so interested in partying anymore.
8. What’s the most recent foreign country you’ve visited? I haven’t been to many, but I’d have to say Ecuador. I went there in high school and got to exploring in the Amazon, bike down a volcano, and sail around the Galapagos, a dream come true for a big Darwin fan like me!
9. Have you ever been nominated for and/or won other blogging awards? I’ve been nominated for the Liebster Award once.
10. What’s your favorite thing about your blog? I love the feeling I get when someone tells me that the information I put up was helpful, or that they related to something I wrote about. Knowing that my writing is useful to others is one of the best feelings and makes me incredibly happy
11. Are you, so far, proud and satisfied with your blog’s progress? I am very proud, but not so much satisfied. I would really like to see more traffic to my website. It’s a lot harder than I anticipated and I know that I won’t be able to earn a true income until I have been able to get more people interested in my blog. That being said I am very proud of what I have accomplished. I know, as one blogger put it to me, that I need to believe in what I’m calling the Field of Dreams Effect: “If you build it, they will come.”
