About
I was born in California and currently reside in New York. In college, I studied biology and earned a bachelor’s degree, and also met the man that would become my husband. He is very supportive of all my endeavors and works very hard himself to provide for our family.
I am no expert. I am a mother, wife, nanny, crochet and craft enthusiast, chef to my family, photographer, environmentalist, and biologist. We are an active, outdoor loving family. My son went on his first hike at only a few months old and every day we continue to go on walks and explore the world.
I love to practice crafting, crochet, and photography and created Califf Creations out of that passion. It also helped that I was on bed rest for the last month and a half of my pregnancy so I was bored out of my mind! Everything I do in my personal and professional life now revolves around how I can be the best parent possible for him and provide the best life I can. That is how I became a nanny so that I could earn an income and still be with my son all day.
My husband is a wonderful man, but a horrible cook, therefore I became the sole chef for our family. I bring my passion for nutrition and the environment into the kitchen by cooking balanced meals and promoting sustainability as best I can within our budget.
I didn’t study childhood development, I’m simply a mother and a nanny. I didn’t study nutrition or cooking, I simply need to provide healthy meals for my family. This site is dedicated to my experience, my crafts, and my cooking. It is about all my creations.
