Easy Monthly Creativity for Kids

Subscription boxes are becoming increasingly popular. There are so many different kinds. You can get boxes of beauty products, diapers, snacks, and toys. There are boxes for every member of the family. I have looked at what feels like hundreds of different subscription boxes trying to find one I’d like for my son. They always felt like they would just add more clutter to my already cluttered house. We didn’t need more STUFF that would just end up laying around.

This includes affiliate links. That means that if you purchase through these links that Califf Creations will receive compensation that is of no extra cost to you. This helps cover the costs of Califf Creations.

Then I found Kiwi Co. These are absolutely amazing! Instead of sending more toys and snacks to try, Kiwi Co is all about inspiring young minds. These boxes are fun, creative, convenient and educational. Every month you get all the supplies and instructions for a different STEAM activity to do with your child. They have boxes for all ages too, from newborn all the way through 16+! These activities will have your child begging to turn off the television and interact and explore.

If you subscribe through one of my links, don’t forget to use the code SHARE30 to get 30% off your first month!

First, I know some people may be wondering, what is STEAM? To put it simply:
Science
Technology
Engineering
Art
Math
These are five areas of learning that are so important for young minds to develop. Children are naturally curious and creative and focusing on different STEAM activities helps to build their confidence in all areas of life.

Personally, I am always trying to develop different STEAM activities that encourage my son to explore and create. However, even when I come up with a great idea, it takes me forever to find the proper materials. Most of the time I have to buy way more than I actually need and end up spending more time and money than I’d like. While we always have fun, he never wants to do the same activity more than once, so all that extra material just goes to waste. I needed to find an easier and better way to encourage his creative exploration.

Enter Kiwi Co! They prepackage a fun activity and send it right to your door every month. Each box provides a new hands-on learning experience that you can complete as a family and that develops creative confidence in your child. They are all developed by a team of child development experts to ensure that they are both educational as well as fun.

Their different crates are:
Cricket (24-36 months)
Koala (3-4)
Kiwi (5-8)
Doodle and Tinker (9-16+)
They also have a newborn cricket crate (0-3 months) and will be launching another cricket crate soon (4-23 months).

All the crates will include age-appropriate activities, as well as a magazine and online resources and DIY ideas that align with a monthly theme. They provide multiple ways to explore the theme and encourage children to create and discover.

The cricket crates (0-36 months) contains developmentally age-appropriate projects like stamps and blocks that explore a monthly theme. An example of a theme for this crate is “exploring the neighborhood”. It is designed to be able to be used multiple times and supplies ideas on how to find more uses as your child grows.

For a limited time only, you can get the deluxe crate free! That means a beautifully illustrated cricket board book in every box!

When you order the Koala, Kiwi, Doodle, or Tinker crates through my links you can get 30% off your first month! Just click the banners below and use the code SHARE30.

The Koala crate (3-4) includes quality materials for 2-3 activities that explore that month’s theme. Themes may include learning about reptiles, transportation, or art. These activities could be crafting a lizard, or building a car. You may just want to use these materials to create your own unique product and that’s just fine! These are all about exploring and discovery!

The Kiwi crate (5-8) includes a maker project for hands-on art, science, and engineering learning as well as materials and kid-friendly instructions for creative learning and tinkering. Just like the other crates, there is always a monthly theme. Themes could include fun with flight, glowing animals, or arcade.

For the older kids in your life (9-16+) there are two different options depending on their interests: the doodle crate, and the tinker crate. The doodle crate focuses on artistic DIY projects like wooden clocks and color blocked candles. The tinker crate focuses on science, technology, engineering, and math projects like building a trebuchet or fiber optic stars.

If you are looking for a fun and unique way to encourage your child of any age, Kiwi Co is the perfect subscription box for you! I truly hope that you enjoy watching your little ones face light up as they grow and discover each month with the contents of this wonderful green box. It’s about time there was a subscription box that promotes unique hands-on learning. If you are like me and would rather give your child an experience to build creative confidence than give them more toys, I highly recommend Kiwi Co!
