A Burger for Every Taste (even Vegan!)

Burgers are a summer staple in my house. It’s so easy to fire up the grill and slap some patties on! They are great for lunch or add a side and you have a quick, easy dinner. They are perfect for a busy weeknight or a day when you don’t want to come inside because it’s too beautiful out. A burger can also be made for every taste and diet, from beef to fish to veggie. With these ideas, you’ll have so much variety, you’ll be eating burgers all summer long!

Burger Patty Types

When you think of burgers, you probably think beef (I got this recipe from the Facebook group Easy Recipes for Busy Families!!). They don’t have to be though! You can make patties out of any ground meat including chicken (try this recipe from Strength and Sunshine), turkey, pork, or salmon (really any fish works). You could even use bison if your local store sells it! Then, of course, there are vegetarian options like black bean, mushroom, and just plain veggie.

Now I’ll admit, I don’t always make my own patties. In fact, I usually just buy pre-made ones just for the sake of ease since they are ready to grab and go. When I do make my own though, they taste so much better! A great option to make patties in bulk, vacuum seal whatever you aren’t going to eat right away and freeze them! That way you have homemade patties ready to grab whenever you need them. I highly recommend a burger press if you want to make your own patties in bulk. My favorites are the Weston Burger Hamburger Press that makes different sizes, or the Shape + Store Burger Master that makes 8 at once! With the silicone press, you can even leave the burgers in the mold to freeze! That makes it so convenient.

Have allergies?

Don’t worry, you can still enjoy burgers with this allergy friendly recipe from Limitless Allergies!

Looking for more variety for your veggie patties?

Strength and Sunshine has a bunch of different veggie patties with different flavors. The Garden Veggie Burger and Pad Thai Broccoli Burger are both gluten-free and vegan. Or skip the patty all together and try these Grilled Eggplant Sliders!

Burger Toppings

These toppings can go on pretty much any type of burger patty. Switching up the toppings and the type of patty is a great way to add variety to your burger game. Have fun experimenting with different combinations of patties and toppings! Post pictures of your creations on Instagram and tag @CaliffCreations so I can see all your awesome summer burgers.

Yum, so many great looking burger options. Definitely going to have to try some of these, especially since we are in a burger rut and eat the exact same kind of burgers with the same toppings every time.
